Mobile
Client Windows Deployment Kit > Removal
Simply removing
the Group Policy that was used to install the Mobile Client will
not cause it to be uninstalled from target workstations. In order
to use the Group Policy framework to uninstall the Mobile Client,
you must use the Mobile Client Remover (8e6purge.msi). The Remover
can be deployed with Group Policy just as the installer was deployed.
Follow the instructions for deploying
the Mobile Client, but substitute 8e6purge.msi as the package to
be deployed. When the Remover is deployed on the workstation, it
will uninstall the Mobile Client.
Note that the remover does not require configuration prior to distribution.
You will probably
also want to change the name of the policy (e.g. "Remove Trustwave Mobile Client"). Once the new policy has been processed on
all target machines and the Mobile Client has been removed, you
can delete or unlink the removal policy with GPMC.
