Operational Modes:

Based on the setup of your network, the Web Filter can be configured to use one of these operational modes for filtering the network:

• invisible mode
• router mode
• firewall mode
• bridge mode

The following mode should be used for filtering machines of end users physically located outside of the organization:

• mobile mode - for Web Filter 5.x.xx software versions
• mobile only mode or mobile mode option - for Web Filter 4.x.xx software versions (the latter mode can be used with the invisible, router, or firewall mode)

The following mode should be used if the Web Filter will off-load content (such as filtering) normally processed by a Web Filter:

• ICAP mode
